Lidocaine 4%
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels in the nerve cell membrane. By blocking Na+ ion channels, the formation and propagation of electrical impulses is interrupted. This interruption of nerve signal transmission to the brain reduces pain and discomfort at the site of application.
When applied to the skin, Camphor activates transient receptor potential (TRP) channels and contributes to a cooling or warming sensation. This sensory modulation desensitizes nerve pathways and reduces the perception of pain. Additionally, Camphor also increases localized blood flow, which can further contribute to relief of minor musculoskeletal pain.​​
